-Branson MO Wal-Mart Sagging Roof Declared Safe-
Linda Young - AHN Editor
Branson, MO (AHN) - This week's winter storms dumped a load of snow and ice on the roof of a Wal-Mart super center in Branson, MO, that caused the roof to sag, forcing the evacuation and closure of the store.
Store employees noticed the sagging roof and evacuated the store around noon on Thursday.
Workers were cleaning the snow and ice off the roof.
But engineers who inspected the building for structural damage said everything was okay. They said the sagging was really flexing under the load, which is how the roof is supposed to react to a heavy load.
